US immigration law requires those travelling on a J-1 visa to have travel insurance by an approved travel insurer for the duration of the visa. As part of the program fee you have already paid for the Budget International Policy (Medical & Liability) you do have the option to upgrade to two other policies that are a more comprehensive. Proof of Funds
To be allowed to enter USA on a 12 month J-1 visa you must show a proof of funds of $US1,000 if you arrive with a job offer which you will already have on the Work USA Summer Jobs program!
